DESCRIPTION:BOOK TICKETS FOR SWALLOW HORSFALL BOULTON TRIO\n  \nA first appearance from our 2026 Artist-in-Residence\, the eclectically vibrant cellist\, Gabriella Swallow. Her intimate trio brings together three distinctive musicians in a stripped-back\, song-led setting.  Joined by trumpeter/singer Pete Horsfall\, and guitarist Honey Boulton\, the Trio explore classic songs\, bossa nova\, blues and jazz standards with a trademark clear and strong ensemble sound. \nExpect familiar songs such as Avalon\, Danny Boy and Some Other Time approached through simple arrangements and close interplay\, plus bossa nova and jazz classics including Insensatez (How Insensitive) and The Lamp Is Low\, reimagined with melody and lyric taking centre stage. \n  \nGabriella Swallow has emerged as one of the most versatile and exciting cellists of her generation. She studied at The Royal College of Music and was awarded the coveted Tagore Gold Medal and performed Hugh Wood’s Cello Concerto in her final year after winning the concerto competition. In 2013 she made her Wigmore Hall debut with the soprano Ruby Hughes and in the same season performed at the La Jolla SummerFest in San Diego\, the Aldeburgh Festival with the Birmingham Contemporary Music Group and the Cambridge Jazz Festival as a member of the celebrated British Jazz pianist Gwilym Simcock’s Quintet. She was also invited by Nigel Kennedy and his band to perform with them at the Bethlehem Unwrapped Festival at St James’s Church\, Piccadilly. . She also toured the U.K. with Nigel Kennedy and his new Four Season band. In 2019 she continued her collaboration with Kennedy playing concerts of Gershwin and in Poland they performed his Hendrix Project with legendary guitarist Mike Stern. \nGabriella is very involved with the classical club night scene and has acted as string curator of Music Orbit’s string night ‘Strung Out’ and performs frequently at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club ‘Classical Kicks’ night curated by violinist Lizzie Ball and at Gabriel Prokofiev’s Nonclassical club nights. DESCRIPTION:Join artist Laura Page for a photography workshop based on Hidden Depths\, an exhibition celebrating later life and challenging ageist stereotypes through portraits and personal stories (part of the Lichfield Festival programme). The session includes a visit to the Hidden Depths exhibition\, led by Laura\, followed by the chance to use professional cameras to create your own photographs\, exploring how you view yourself and others. The images will be used in future intergenerational workshops and a public exhibition in summer 2027. \n  \nOpen to anyone ages 11+ (children with parental supervision).
