A ‘Big Give’ week for Lichfield Festival (18th -25th March)
For the last year, Lichfield Festival (thanks to our magnificent supporters!) has been able to offer local primary school students the chance to have free instrumental lessons. With the project to expand even further in the 25-26 academic year, this week sees the Festival launch details of its participation in the Big Give Arts for Impact Campaign, where any donations are doubled, thanks to £5,000 in match funding! With music provision in state schools decreasing year on year, many low-income families are unable to afford private lessons, meaning that local children are missing out on the chance of a life-changing experience. The Festival’s Music in Schools scheme is a way to fill that gap, offering free instrumental lessons, access to instruments and performance opportunities at Lichfield Festival.
