Vernon Bogdanor is Professor of government at the Institute of Contemporary British History at King’s College, London. A fellow of the British Academy and Royal Historical Society, he has written a number of books on constitutional and political history, including Beyond Brexit and The Strange Survival of Liberal Britain.

Andy Beckett is a historian of Britain since the 1960s and a Guardian columnist, who has also written for The Economist, The New York Times magazine, the London Review of Books and The Independent on Sunday. His books include Promised You A Miracle, When the Lights Went Out and Pinochet in Piccadilly.
