Sonic Threads is an exciting and unique new duo consisting of internationally-renowned classical Indian vocalist Supriya Nagarajan and harpist, Lucy Nolan.
Combining the traditions of Indian Carnatic vocals with Western contemporary classical harp music, Sonic Threads have developed their own special sound, with music that is gentle, contemplative and uplifting, as Indian classical ragas are intertwined with live harp improvisation, inspired by both Eastern and Western influences, jazz and Indian philosophy.
Together, Lucy and Supriya have performed at the Royal Albert Hall, Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, and The Sage, Gateshead. This will be their Festival debut as a duo, after Lucy visited the Festival in 2024 with Meera Maharaj (Hather Duo)
