In the 3rd year of its Festival residency, we are delighted to welcome back the superb talents of the BBC National Orchestra of Wales.

Led by their new Principal Conductor, Ryan Bancroft, BBCNOW return with a wonderfully-crafted programme to suit the reduced forces we can safely accommodate this year.

Their programme begins with Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 1 (with their leader, Lesley Hatfield, as soloist) and ends with Rameau’s sumptuous Suite of Ballet Music from Les Boréades. In between, and 50 years on from his death, Stravinsky’s ‘Dumbarton Oaks’, the inspiration for which was taken from the set of the Brandenburg concerti, first presented by Bach some 300 years earlier.
