Photography Walk
Review by Aaron.
Firstly, I would like to start by saying that the Lichfield Photography Club put together a wonderful and engaging walk. The walk consisted of stunning sites around the Lichfield centre such as Minster Pool, Lichfield Cathedral and Vicars Close. This walk was open for all ages and a variety of skill levels as the team gave helpful advice, tips, and tricks along the walk to enhance the photography of the participants. The participants of the event were very approachable for advice on how to add style to your photography and enhance the quality of the images taken.
The beginning of the walk consisted of street photography and photographing moving subjects through the town of Lichfield. This gave useful knowledge towards how to capture city life and how to adjust the camera accordingly. During the walk the leaders made sure to help photographers enhance the composition of their photos. Moving further into the walk, we moved to Lichfield Cathedral. Here we engaged in taking photos of the new St Chad Statue and how to compose a photo correctly with a statue. Lastly, we went to Vicars Close in the Cathedral where we were able to take photos of still life such as flowers and how to get a close detailed shot of the petals etc.
Overall, this walk was a very engaging and educating walk which gave new photographers an insight into how to compose photos, enhance the quality of their photos and to adjust angles and settings to their surroundings. It was also useful for intermediate or advanced photographers as they gained knowledge from the leaders of the walk and new tricks they may not have known.
