Originally from Lichfield, award-winning theatre maker, Katie Arnstein, brings her critically-acclaimed show Sexy Lamp to the Festival. Ever since Katie was cast as the lead in her primary school production of Santa’s Snowmobile, she believed there was a place for her in show business. Since then, named, speaking and fully-clothed roles have been harder to come by…but Katie refuses to stay in the dark, as evidenced by this solo show that brilliantly combines comedy, original songs and storytelling to shed a bright light on how ridiculous the acting and theatre industry can be.
Winner of the “Show of the Week” and “Pleasance Pick” of VAULT Festival 2019, this follow-up to her debut solo show (Bicycles and Fish) won a month’s run at The Pleasance at the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, garnering plaudits and rave reviews from press and audience alike.
