Led by their inspirational Principal Conductor, Ryan Bancroft, the BBC National Orchestra of Wales returns to the Festival for a programme of music by Bruch and Beethoven.

For Bruch’s much-loved Scottish Fantasy– his virtuoso showcase for orchestra and violin, inspired by Scottish folk tunes – BBCNOW will be joined by soloist Hana Chang, one of Classic FM’s Rising Stars of 2024, and a Radio 3 New Generation Artist.

Beethoven’s Eroica has been described as “the greatest symphony” (BBC Music Magazine), with Leonard Bernstein hailing its opening movements as “perhaps the greatest in all symphonic music”. Without doubt, it is a revolutionary work that ushered in the ‘romantic’ era, stunning in its scope and emotional impact.
