World and folk music duo Guitar Journey will take us on a musical journey following the development of the acoustic guitar from its origins in Spain and North Africa along a path through Europe, Africa and the Americas.
The duo are Sardinian Giorgio Serci, who has the distinction of having worked with Dr John, Jools Holland and Shirley Bassey, as well as the Berlin Phil, and Jonny Phillips, who has led the Latin American-influenced Oriole for the past decade. Both artists have immersed themselves in the music of Spain, the Americas and North Africa, studying flamenco and the dance rhythms that carry Hispanic and Latin American melodies.
