YOUNG ARTIST SERIES

Joe Howson studied at the Royal College of Music, under the tutelage of Festival Associate Artist, Danny Driver.  His broad and adventurous solo repertoire spans from the baroque to the present, with a particular focus on lesser-known piano works of the twentieth century. Joe is also an experienced collaborative musician, working with ensembles such as Birmingham Contemporary Music Group, Sinfonia Cymru and Das Neue Ensemble, as well as accompanying for the vocal faculties at Trinity Laban and RCM and performing in multiple active chamber groups.

His programme includes Ravel’s Gaspard de la Nuit, which originally featured in the 1982 Festival programme.
