JULIAN PERKINS clavichord

Dubbed ‘the Indiana Jones of Early Music’ (BBC Radio 3), Julian Perkins enjoys a varied career as a solo keyboard player, chamber musician and conductor. In a rare chance to hear a clavichord recital, his programme includes works by J.S. Bach, Pachelbel and C.P.E. Bach.

Julian regularly works with most of the UK’s leading period instrument ensembles and has performed concertos with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Orchestra of the Sixteen and the New London Soloists. He is founder-director of Sounds Baroque, designate artistic director of Cambridge Handel Opera, and Artistic Director of Portland Baroque Orchestra in Oregon, USA.
