Matthew Yeomans – Seascape: Notes from a Changing Coastline

March 27, 2025 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Price: £12.00
Venue: The George Hotel

From the acclaimed author of Return to My Trees (an inspiring story about one man’s determination and the power of trees. It should not be missed’ – Judi Dench).

For those living near the coast, the sea is a dominant presence: no more so than in Wales where the Wales Coast Path runs for 870 miles. In his new book, Seascape, Matthew Yeomans explores this iconic walking trail and how our deep relationship with Y Môr (the sea) is being redefined by climate change.

Exploring the beauty and beaches of the Gower, Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion, Anglesey and all places in between, shows how our landscape is being reshaped by the sea’s power. But we can mitigate these effects through nature-based solutions, by harnessing the power of the sea, and by learning from the past to adapt to our changing climate.

Matthew Yeomans is a writer and journalist with more than 30 years’ experience writing on sustainability, energy, travel and technology for many outlets, including National Geographic, The Guardian, The New York Times and Wired. Matthew is the author of five books and lives in Wales.
