Tony Award-nominated Broadway star and recording artist, Melissa Errico, makes her Lichfield Festival debut in a stunning evening featuring songs by Lerner & Loewe and Rodgers & Hart, alongside show-stopping standards from The Great American Songbook, and the most powerful songs by her long-term collaborators, the late and much-missed music theatre legends, Stephen Sondheim and Michel Legrand.
Known across the world for her starring roles on Broadway – My Fair Lady, Sunday in the Park with George, Passion, Les Misérables and Legrand’s sole Broadway show Amour – Melissa has long been celebrated for her live concert and cabaret performances, and her award-winning recordings, including Sondheim Sublime (‘the best all-Sondheim album ever recorded’ – The Wall Street Journal), her symphonic album, Legrand Affair, and her latest release Out of the Dark: The Film Noir Project (‘the seductive album of the season’).
A rare chance to hear a true Broadway superstar at the peak of her powers, with a stunning quartet from Ronnie Scott’s, led by our Associate Artist (and Ronnie Scott’s Artistic Director) pianist James Pearson, with Graeme Blevins saxophone, Sam Burgess bass and Chris Higginbottom drum
