Lichfield Literature Festival – New Dates

Thank you for all your patience, goodwill and support as we worked to reschedule our 2020 Literature Festival. Having liaised with various parties, we can now announce new dates for many of the events that were due to take place earlier this year. If you have tickets, please read carefully for details of our rescheduled programme, as not all events are taking place at the same time.
1. SATURDAY 27th FEBRUARY 2021:
  • Amanda Owen – The Yorkshire Shepherdess (taking place in Lichfield Cathedral, time tbc).
2. THURSDAY 25th – SUNDAY 28th MARCH 2021 (as part of our 2021 Literature Festival)
  • Nathen Amin – The House of Beaufort
  • Mark Bostridge – Florence Nightingale: The Woman and Her Legend
  • Lucy Diamond – Afternoon Tea at Swinfen Hall
  • Henry Hitchings – Why Samuel Johnson Still Matters
  • Anna Levin – Incandescent
  • Raffi Berg – Red Sea Spies
  • Dave Hamilton – Wild Ruins
  • Craig Glenday – Guiness World Records
  • Phil Cartwright – Red Mist: Football’s most shocking moments
  • Susannah Stapleton – The Adventures of Maud West, Lady Detective
  • Beth Lynch – Where the Hornbeam Grows
  • The Poetry Slam
If you have tickets for the events that we have been able to reschedule, your tickets will automatically be transferred to the new dates.Specific venues/times/dates for each author will follow shortly. Once these are confirmed, if you are unable to attend next March, you can claim a refund by contacting our external box office at 01543 306271 or boxoffice@lichfield-cathedral.org
3. We have sadly not been able to re-schedule the following events:
  • Kate Swindlehurst – The Tango Effect – Parkinson’s & The Healing Power of Dance
  • Ali Sanders – When the Bough Breaks
  • Laura Wood – Crossover Fiction – why YA is not just for teens
  • Noelle Holten & Mel Sharratt – Killer Women
  • Mel Wardle-Woodend – Fairytales Re-Imagined (this ran as a virtual workshop in April)
  • Ashley Hickson-Lovence – The 392
  • The Word Poetry Competition

If you haven’t got tickets, or want to re-book for any of our re-scheduled events, tickets will go on sale again later in the year.
