COVID-19: Literature Festival Postponed
It is with much sadness that we have taken the decision to postpone our literature festival. Given current conditions and advice, we want to ensure that all our audiences, authors, volunteers and staff remain as healthy as possible and we feel it is our duty and responsibility to protect others by not proceeding with our events at this time.
We are doing our best to reschedule our literature festival events and are in talks with authors and venues to decide on some new dates. As we are a small charity, operating with a small team, this may take a bit of time and so we thank you for your ongoing patience whilst we do everything we can to ensure that these events go on!
We appreciate that some of you had already bought tickets and so we want to outline your options going forward:
• We are trying to reschedule literature festival events and, though we don’t have firm dates at present, you will be able to transfer your tickets to the new dates when announced
• You can ask for a refund (either now or when the new dates are announced)
• We are also offering the option to donate some, or all, of your ticket price to Lichfield Festival. As a small, independent charity who relies heavily on income from tickets to keep operating, this unexpected challenge has hit us very hard. We really want to make it to our 40th Anniversary in 2021 and to continue bringing inspiring, engaging, multi-arts events to the Midlands. Any support you can offer now will help us going forward and will be very gratefully received!
We advise holding onto your ticket for now so you have the option to transfer tickets when new dates are announced.
We use an external box office, who you can contact on 01543 306271 or boxoffice@lichfield-cathedral.org to choose any of the above options. Please note that they are very busy at present so your patience on this matter is much appreciated!
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us at info@lichfieldfestival.org. We will do our best to respond to your query as soon as possible.
We are positive that the arts will play a key role in helping to rebuild the country in the coming months. We will continue to connect with you where possible and find new and innovative ways of bringing arts events to you in these difficult times.
Again, thank you so much for your support, it means the world to the team and to the Festival!
