New Trustee for Lichfield Festival

We are thrilled to announce that the new Dean of Lichfield Cathedral, the Very Reverend Jan McFarlane – the first female Dean in the cathedral’s 1300-year history – has joined the Lichfield Festival Board of Trustees. Jan has been incredibly supportive of Lichfield Festival and we know her passion, enthusiasm and inspiring ability to break down barriers will further our work in the wider community, increasing access to the arts.

Taking on the role, Jan said “I am delighted to become a Trustee, following in the footsteps of my predecessor Dean John Lang, and continuing the Cathedral’s long association with the Lichfield Festival. Lichfield Cathedral belongs to the city, county and wider diocese and we are looking forward to welcoming you all to the 2025 festival, as we celebrate together the countless ways in which the arts inspire, encourage and enlarge our lives.”
