Supporting the next generation of musicians through The Big Give
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, our Big Give Arts For Impact campaign raised over £11,000 including £3750 in match funding, which will provide free music lessons for 180 pupils across 6 local primary schools from September 2026. We couldn’t have achieved this without the generosity of everybody who donated over the campaign period.
With music squeezed from the school curriculum, many children will not experience the joy of learning an instrument, unless they’re from privileged backgrounds. That’s why this programme is so important to us; enhancing lives and inspiring the next generation through music.
Lessons will be delivered by Entrust Music Service for the 2026/27 academic year, with instruments chosen to provide a balanced mix across the County, further supporting the development of musicians through the potential for ensemble music making in following years.
