If you match all the above then our Young Critics Book Review Challenge might be for you!

One of the things we missed most this summer were the wise, witty and wonderfully well-written Festival reviews by our Young Critics. As we didn’t want to wait until next year, we’re launching a special Young Critics writing challenge this autumn! So, whether you read something new over the summer and have something to say about it, or have a favourite book that you want everyone to know about, we want to hear from you.

To enter, all you have to do is write a review (maximum 500 words) giving us the name of the book and author, a brief summary of what it’s about (no spoilers!!), why you did or didn’t like it, anything that’s special or interesting about the book and a rating out of 10.

Our favourite reviews will be posted on our website and shared via our social media channels and everyone who sends in a review will be entered into a draw to win a £25 book voucher!

You have until 8pm on Friday 16th October to send in your reviews (max. 500 words) – please ask a parent/guardian to send your review, along with your name and age to info@lichfieldfestival.org

We’ll also be posting our top reviewing tips over the next couple of weeks to help with your writing and journalistic skills!
