KASAI MASAI

Originally from Congo, now based in London, Kasai Masai are superstars of ‘Soukous’ – Congolese dance music. Their music reflects their journey from the rural to urban and is written in Swahili, Lingala and Kimongo, to portray the cultural diversity of Congo.

Influenced by sounds that have been passed down through generations, Kasai Masai’s original compositions move well beyond traditional Congolese music, to introduce galloping rhythms, strong melodies, passionate beats, swinging guitars and moving saxophone.
