SOME LIKE IT HOT ‘The Magic of the Movies’ with James Pearson & Lizzie Ball

Festival Associate Artists, world-renowned pianist and Ronnie Scott’s Artistic Director, James Pearson, and violinist and vocalist Lizzie Ball are joined by a crack team of jazz stars to celebrate ‘The Magic of the Movies’.

Starting with the traditional fanfares that identified the different studios, this evening is a journey through some of the most famous musical moments in film history: from Henry Mancini’s The Pink Panther and Breakfast at Tiffany’s to John Williams’ Star Wars and the Di Caprio hit Catch Me If You Can, via The Odd Couple to another Jack Lemmon classic (with brother/sister-in-arms, Tony Curtis), Some Like It Hot, as part of a medley celebrating their co-star, the one and only Miss Marilyn Monroe (with some of the most famous ‘boo-be-dos’ in the business).

So, settle back with your metaphorical popcorn, and enjoy the vivacious, velvet plush of another Pearson/Ball night to remember… The Magic of the Movies.
