Wayward Jane’s music is a modern, transatlantic interpretation of American folk and Old Time traditions, blending roots music with fresh arrangements and original compositions. Their rich sound features fiddle, clawhammer banjo, double bass, guitar, wooden flute and close vocal harmonies.

After an incredible series of 14 concerts with us since 2021, and two recitals this year (see also Event 5C), Danny’s playing has enthralled Lichfield audiences and tonight’s closing concert is not to be missed!
Celebrated pianist Martin Roscoe’s career spans over five decades. In his first visit to our Chamber Weekend, he plays works by Haydn, Schubert and Schumann, concluding with Beethoven’s Sonata in F minor, Op. 57.
The Abeto Guitar Duo (Georgina Dadson and Matthew House) met in Cardiff, Wales where they studied as a duo for their masters at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Since the duo’s conception, they have enjoyed performing across England and Wales, including Cardiff Guitar Festival and as returning artists to Dillington Guitar Festival. In 2022, they were finalists in the annual Dora Stouzker Hall concerto competition. Their afternoon recital at Wade Street Church includes eclectic duo works by Rameau, Franck and J.S. Bach.
Violinist Fenella Humphreys is joined by celebrated pianist, Martin Roscoe, for a French programme celebrating the centenary of the legendary Gabriel Fauré.
Northern Irish tenor, Michael Bell is joined by pianist George Ireland to make his Festival debut in a recital of English song, to include Vaughan Williams' much-loved 'Songs of Travel' cycle (to Robert Louis Stevenson's poetry) and 'Winter Words', Britten’s stunning setting of poems by W.H. Auden.
